OK WELL
I was thinking that we need something that's physically imposing like the PF if the PF manifests and starts going "whaaag I'm a tol bird of death and rebirth" and shit
so Morricone can provide that
physically manifest his hate and fear and disgust of what the PF is and turn it into some kind of other gigantic bird (that's like a parody of the darn thing) we can have a chicken wrestling match and that way Morricone'll be able to actually be RELEVENT to the whole event. Also, he gets powered up when he's pumped because psyche-related powers are neat like that. So ye he'll probs be able to land a few punch by way of summoning a psychic punch ghost and doing some damage.

Idk but I figure Apollo will go full healbot for this one. We have lots of options for fighters, but I'm pretty sure we haven't got anyone that's as good a putting people back together as he is. He can also specifically cure insanity, which might help against mind control or even for Maria. |

I am eager to throw Comic at any physically-based Phoenix Force entities. She would never actually fight the Force itself, either in the form of Maria or in its unhosted form, but she would be willing to get into an all-out bar brawl with someone else, whether for personal reasons or because, you know, the world is at stake, and that is moderately important.
Comic brings her peak human form and enhanced durability to the table, as well as being an angry little shit who hates everything. I think it would be interesting to pair her up with someone not compatible with her in a fight thread; this would be any magic/psychic kind of character, or someone she's fought with before / someone who is an active Initiative member.

monkey enjoys fighting and he enjoys a challenge. he's also buffed by 1000 years of meditating his spiritual powers to optimum levels. he can make innumerable clones. he's fought the buddhist version of the heavenly host. i say we let him loose on this one
+ artemis: she can snipe, but i'm also working with the moon nerds to give her some tp/maybe bring back some of her old astral projection powers. dunno how that might help but MAYBE IT WILL???
physis is sitting out this one and michael is... just handling paperwork while the heroes are away i guess lol

Aaaaaanyway Julia might be able to fend off the bird... if she gets enough time to ramp up (see her skillz waha). She might need convincing that it's to be beaten, though... she'll probably want some proof that it can't be reasoned with or something. Depending on how that goes, if she thinks the Phoenix Force is completely unjust, she might bust out that godslaying sword that can conveniently not kill Maria at the same time! ...although the PF is probably OP enough to just shrug it, but that might convince it to go away or something?

Jack is useless as he is rn and Delta is similarly hampered, so I pretty much only have grey to offer for this event. He's good as backup, or as additional firepower in a fight. He's also pretty much physical-based with no real way of targeting long-range people, so have at that if you'd like. He's probably good for wiping out minions.

genesis is hella in. But his package is pretty much one that can be used for crowd control purposes in the form of Heat Vision and Zig-Zag Beams, so I suppose he could mow down hoards of the Knights and adds effectively. In the way of 1v1 or 1 v Many (if it comes to that), he has limitless strength, can move half the speed of light, and can tank pretty much anything that doesn't eclipse the destructive power of a star or planet exploding. The PF is all about mind rape, so in that regards there is nothing Genesis can do against that (as per H2H), but if someone could provide an opening or a way for him not to get turned into mental jelly, might have a chance? |

I would like DH-4RM4 to join the fight against the army of PF. Although I could see him being more of a support role than a front lines person. He has the capabilities of healing, debuffing the enemies strength, and can pretty much go into a god form where he is immune and rejuvenated everyone, so maybe a shield against the PF. I'm a little last minute I know but just tossing hippy robot into the mix lol

Woah i just saw this thread. Would you guys mind if i throw RYOU in the fight against the burned man? He was there when Maria was possessed by the Burd so the fight is personal for him, but i dont think he would be sent to fight the Burd straight out, so being in the compound and being attacked would make better sense.
I can throw Ruler in against Pulse if there is a shortage of fighters. A villain fighting to help save the day! Or against Hades? |
