REUBEN MADDISON, MD

HAND ON HEART, PROMISING I'LL NEVER GO
DOCTOR REUBEN MADDISON is a bit of an asshole. He divorced his wife and only has his twin kids during the summer so he can dedicate more time to his work as The Institute's Director of Medicine. As the director, he's in charge of every other medical person employed by the superhero organization, and spends more time in meetings than with patients, but he still makes opportunities to visit important cases. After physically assaulting a board member in a meeting, he is on thin ice with the organization. He doesn't let that stop him from sailing down the hallways in his wheelchair and trusting other people to get out of his way before they collide.
FRIENDSHIPS
He doesn't make friends easily. They have to have thick skin and understand that he's trash. As he doesn't have many hobbies outside of medicine, friends would probably have connections with The Institute. Interestingly enough, he has a soft spot for those significantly younger than him; he has a tendency to take youth under his wing and nurture them if they are in his care.
HATESHIPS
Reuben doesn't hate easily, either. He has more important things to worry about than enemies. That said, most people irritate him, so he'll still harbor displeasure over little things.
OTHER
LOVERS: don't, he's trash Reuben is interested in both men and women. Since the divorce, dating has been unsuccessful. Any boyfriend/girlfriend would have to be as pig-headed as he is.
PATIENTS: Where the majority of his relationships come from. Reuben is a neurologist, so any of his patients will need that kind of care to see him. It's his job to pour over patient records all day, so if you've seen an Institute-related physician within the last few years, chances are, he vaguely knows you.

OFFICER HUDSON is a cop in Lafayette, Louisiana. He has the station record for the most volunteer hours in a year, often going out of his way to positively represent the police in schools, fairs, and youth organizations. When not on the beat, he likes to spend time playing pool, reading at home, and managing his emotions so he doesn't hulk out into an unstoppable mythical beast. As the Rougarou, he is mostly seen on full moons, cleaning up the streets by whatever means necessary. He really hopes nobody connects his lack of night shifts with that.
FRIENDSHIPS
River loves friends, and people love him. He's kind-hearted, optimistic, and almost always has a soft grin. Most of his friends were met through work. Only his best friends know about his enhanced healing abilities, but even they don't know about his other half.
HATESHIPS
As a cop, he is considered an enemy of a lot of people he doesn't even know; the badge is a target, after all. Others dislike how flighty he can be, bailing out on get-togethers hours before. River himself finds it difficult to hate anyone that means well. If anybody's listened to pub chatter around Lafayette, they've probably heard of a big man beast, so there's plenty of room for hunter enemies as well.
OTHER
LOVERS: He's dated a few times, nothing serious, but hasn't gone on a single date since contracting the curse in early spring. It's hard to explain the squeaky toy under your pillow to a date.
COWORKERS: River works with state and local police, heroes, schools, doctors--anybody interested in the general welfare of people.
VICTIMS: Sometimes, his rage is... misdirected. For the most part, Rougarou targets criminals, but while transformed, anybody with a harsh word or an aggressive stance can be his victim.
