RULER: I'm not actually extending Jack to plot with Ruler (not yet, anyway), but I've come with delta instead. Delta's a bit of an odd villain because he doesn't actively do anything, and his powers are more passive/support than active ones. However, he's pretty similar to Ruler in the sense that they both want to protect Earth, yet dissimilar 'cuz they want it intact for different reasons. He pretty much just wants it intact because he sees it as a gigantic playground for superheros/vigilantes/villains to muck about in, and the idea of that chaos? dissidence? is, atm, entertaining to him, not that he'd ever admit it or realize it at the moment.

Actually, I could keep going on about how they're alike yet different lmao. But anyway: I imagine that when the time comes for Fomalhaut to attack Earth, that would be a pretty interesting moment to write.

Initially I was thinking of a physical meeting (ugh logistics), but they could just meet on the astral plane. Delta would be shapeless/faceless there so that ... works to his advantage of not having to do this encounter face-to-face. I imagine them having a short but sweet astral chat, while defining their characters a bit. Nothing like good ol' dialogue, right?

With that out of the way ... I figure that over time they could pretty much end up occasional partners-in-whatever, with Delta providing unintentional support? This is just a premise, lemme know if this as a basis works or if we needa rework this. o/

RULER: Screw logistics, we figured it out in the cbox! I still don't know where Ruler would be phasing in from, but I suppose you'll cover it in your post. Delta's phasing in from Dunwich, most likely. (Thread should probably be in the general Earth forum 'cuz ... idk where the astral plane is.)

So just to put things down: We're chasing down the spiritual trail of dust on the astral plane. The trail basically ends in accumulated spiritual energy that has formed blobs/anomalies on the plane, which is probably a cause for concern or just general interest by whoever happens to be around, aka Delta and Ruler. And then we go from there?

RULER: Yeah, you're probably right. General Kingsport it is. I was just thinking of Delta's internet thread because his house is unplottable, and therefore it ended up in general Earth lol.

Hmm. From what I read, Physis' group is brand new, so it might take a while before Shamees takes notice of her organization (though we can skip that wait.) He's been operating in Kingsport for at least a whole year with a team compromising of Kingsport and foreign vigilantes. They're spread out, wherever they catch wind of trouble and stop it before it could begin. We could definitely set up an alliance. Once he hears about Physis' org, he could join the group to observe and evaluate them, whether or not it's strong enough to survive. Technically, it means he's spying on them.

So yes to the offer! He would probably use a fake name to get into the organization (unless it isn't required to share your civilian identity) and present himself fused with his guardian spirit so that he wouldn't be recognized. This would make delicious drama distrust along the way. He would be that ~mysterious~ guy with an unknown background. No one's ever seen him in the streets before.

Ooooh I know there are a lot of plots in Arkham. Not quite up-to-date with them. Though Shamees is not new to this, the rper is xD I think then that he would have definitely heard of Physis even before he came to Kingsport. His group's activity is probably lesser in Arkham because he knows there are people like Physis already settled there. That and Arkham is a big case. It's a gigantic mess. His team in Kingsport is still relatively new and might not be able to handle it.

Being able to keep civilian identities is convenient! Makes it easier for Shamees to spy in. Physis is lucky he's a spy that isn't really an enemy. She sounds like she's too lenient with recruitment; everyone can practically get in.

What do you mean by "to preemptively out himself or not?" I can actually probably have Shamees join in early; maybe an informant told him of Physis' movements and he decided to personally investigate it. Physis seems to be a major player whose movements Shamees would want to know. Now that I think about it, Shamees might have been intending to make contact with Physis for a long time. To invite her in his team, so hearing that she had made her own would definitely be interesting.

Shamees would help Physis out in the end no matter what! He would help her with the crimes as a vigilante in her team, maybe even sharing information that was strange of him to possess (must have gathered it from his own sources.) And then help her with expansion and everything else once he trusts Physis completely and reveals his true identity.

KUKUR man you joke but i really want ruler/thalia threads actually. they would have met during the alien invasion, yeah? i can see him outclassing her so severely feeding into her guilt complex ab how useless she is for repressing the majority of her powers (and then that feeding into the guilt complex about wanting to use her powers, and it all goes in a circle like a snake eating its own tail), and i want them to meet up again once she unlocks most of her stuff. i also like the idea of a reluctant team-up thread maybe where they have to band together to stop someone else like "...."

also i guess i could do something with shamees/thalia but rip
