Looking for vigilantes - especially young ones out in the streets - to form a team in Kingsport focused on covert missions. This means that they'll be doing jobs that won't get them any attention, allowing them to move without repercussion. Shamees, leader of the international vigilante group, From The Shadows, would provide the missions and oversee the operations. He's the Batman of the Team in Young Justice.
Existing and new characters are welcomed! Once we have a team, I'll set up a thread in plot discussions and make us a mission. We'll eventually interact with player-played villains to make things fun.
Recruitment can be done by Shamees' allies or by Shamees himself, whichever you prefer and for the record, I would be more than willing to thread it out. From The Shadows came to this city to help organize the vigilantes against the rise of the very public and transparent Initiative. There are things that can only be done from the shadows, things that only the unsung heroes could do.
While the main org is From The Shadows, I think it would be cool if IC-wise this was brought up and Shamees goes, "This is your team. It's your team to name" THEN CUE THE THEME SONG. I want to do team-building and dynamic stuff! Training! Shenanigans! Shamees has been operating in Kingsport for a year now but I think this team would be pretty brand new. Maybe a few months ago new.
I want to do an episode one consisting this team!

We already talked about this in the chat.
Shamees could probably see Alice, and since Alice isn't really very trusting of the Initiative, but wants friends and will probably see the advantage of having other people to work with (and she's mostly a support-type herself since villains aren't always going to be tech-based), she'll probably join.
If Shamees gives her a server or something, she could probably discover her ability to split herself and be, as you said, the one who communicates with everybody and if they encounter any tech-related problems, they all have Alice in their phones for any hacking XD or even electric redirection.
So, yeah, I'm interested in joining! XD

Electromancer Shamees can 199% see Alice. I was thinking that maybe it's her stunt with Ryou that gets his attention and he does investigations on Electromancer. What I'm wondering is how he would encounter Alice again after that. She seems like a hard rabbit to find.
He would definitely provide her a server! Maybe it can be part of episode 1. Alice tries out being in the server for the first time. Viola! She can separate herself! And the team gets something super convenient out of it. The team's pretty much nothing without Alice after that.

I was going to post as Masked Detective as he's my main vigilante, but you've asked for young and he's in his thirties so he'd be more of a teacher type. Plus he's a former police detective so you may not trust him, even though he'd have some useful abilities for the team. Otherwise Lord Taima might be a good choice since he's semi young, but he's also a skilled middle man and business man, and knows all about the need to stay in the shadows. I'm sure your guy may not be fond of his black market Taima business but otherwise he has reasonable morals, and if you show him a good reason to help out he'd be willing to do so. You'd likely have to thread it out, since he's so chill you'd need some good convincing to have him join. He'd also be willing to train other members who aren't skilled in martial arts, if need be.

Given as of this writing, Brandon would probably check out the gig and see how the hell he can use these void powers of his. Training is important.
If he likes what he sees, you might just have a kid who can literally control the Void itself on your side. Just uh...don't piss him off. Or mention his mother. Touchy subject.

Lord Taima Hmm Taima's business is a bit of an inconvenience for plotting. Drug trade is one of the businesses FTS stops and the drug Taima could even accidentally give powers. But it's still an interesting idea. Maybe Taima is one of Shamees' contacts/allies/friends? He's not against having to deal with less pure people - he's not like most superheroes who have such a snotty sense of justice. Choosing is a leisure for vigilantes. That and with Taima's soft spot for children, he might be more inclined to help the team from time to time. (Taima being the guy the team turns to would be fun. The team might not share Shameees' feelings toward Taima's kind.)
I'm wondering though how much of a vigilante Taima is? From what I read in his app, he seems more like a civilian.
Brandon Ackerman AN ADVANCED WELCOME TO THE TEAM! We'll see what he sees of the team then. Lemme gather 2-3 more folks before we can do that special Brandon hobo extraction mission. They'll probably approach him in civilian. Shamees will let them deal with him. AS FOR HIS MOTHER...I'll make sure someone in the team asks about his parents HEHEHEHEHEH.

Mrrrm. Well, maybe KUKUR seeks out Alice since she calls herself the Electromancer, and maybe he knows or has heard of the original one? Maybe he'll figure out that Alice only interferes when the villains or problems are tech-related, since Alice generally just calls the authorities when it's something she can't handle. Then, he manages to catch Alice in the aftermath of a tech-related incident? I'm not that sure he can do, or will do, all this, though XD And yay, Alice in Wonderland references XD

Electromancer SHAMEES WILL DO THOSE THINGS. He might have gotten the help of his allies. Can't do everything alone. Actually, could he contact Alice? Maybe he put up a message something that has info on the original Electromancer's killers to lure Alice into reading it. Maybe there's some legit info there xD but it would mostly be a message to talk to her. I could post the original message in the tech thread. You'll have to help me on the info though! I don't know what actual info I can put up lol.
GLIMMER THIS IS MOST EXCELLENT. We can do the Brandon Ackerman thread once our apps are done (I'm making a teenage hero too huhuhu) and Alice is all settled.

Mrm, that sounds good--- except I haven't quite decided yet about too much info about Alice and her dad's killers, beyond that they managed to track down the retired original Electromancer, and managed to beat any emergency defenses he set up in his home. I was thinking of leaving it up to anyone who wished to play Alice's villain, but urgh.
So, we've got two choices: make up the info now, and have the villain subscribe to it later, or have the message not be about the killers at all.
Maybe Shamees could claim to have known her dad--- maybe he even actually knew him, maybe he entrusted him with some of his stuff, maybe some last will data file or something--- after all, he quit being a vigilante so many years ago, I was thinking he'd entrusted some of his stuff to people he thought were trustworthy, even if the Electromancer wasn't a part of From The Shadows before.
But yeah, that might be a stretch, so we probably could make up info about their killers instead. What do you think?

Electromancer That second idea sounds wonderful and perfect. From The Shadows is an international group. It wouldn't be odd for him to be in contact with a vigilante from another country. Maybe it was the last leader who Alice's dad entrusted and that file has now ended in Shamees' hands.
Does that mean I don't have to put up some tech thread? Because I'm not sure how I could be specific of this file. I assume it is related to his tech though? What kind of techs did Alice's dad had, exactly?

KUKUR
Welp, let's see... the original Electromancer was really good with software and robots, and his robots can do a lot of things XD he was at least good enough to hijack the system of a completely alien set of technology XD and, of course, before he died, he managed to create technology that managed to digitize the consciousness of a human being.
Let's see... how is Shamees going to contact Alice, anyway? ...I think maybe part of the file would be to send a message through the Internet without it necessarily appearing in web pages or programs--- a stream in the network that only those who interface directly with it can notice. Maybe Shamees just sends a message like 'Hello, Electromancer, or whoever you are who is using his name' plus contact details, and the mere fact that the message can only be seen by creatures like Alice--- or someone who has tech to keep track of every bit of data passing through the Internet--- Alice's dad probably had something like that--- and it wasn't stolen by the villains--- wait, the supersecret messaging thingy might also be the program that spies on everything, haha.
So, yeah. Shamees uses this program since someone who calls themselves Electromancer is around, and it's kind of his test to see if this Electromancer really has something to do with the original. It is a bit of a gamble, though. So you can still put up a communications thread... but it's implied that it's in this weird format that Alice has to puzzle?

KUKUR, Meet Jenny! She's a shy mutant with the ability to utilize the powers of cryptids! Also, she knows a lot of things!
She's wary of the initiative due to their ties with the military and the possibility that she could be returned to Area 42. She kind of wants to be involved with a crime fighting group of some kind, especially if it means a roof over her head, food, and a way to read books.
Anyways, we talked in the chat about having her already be a part of the group and figure out a way to do her joining of the group. Anyways, I'm still finding some pictures for her application and mini banner, but consider her to be a part of the group already!

Electromancer i just realized the dot hack vibes of alice's powers xD but yes! He is basically doing a test on who this new electeomancer is. I think shamees' first assumption- and hope- is that it is the real electromancer who managed to digitize himself before death. He might have considered that it happened to his deceased daughter as well I'll put on some encrypted code based on the stuff alice's dad have, so that they might be familiar to her. TIME TO APPLY SOME COMPUTER SCIENCE. AND RANDOM but i thought it would be cool to give Alice an android body in the near future This could be the tech shamees' group was entrusted and had been developing it for some time. Obviously alice can have it once it's done! I'll tag you in that thread when i get home! cryptid WOHOO SOMEONE ALREADY RECRUITED. I will post in jenny's plot page for HOWLING and cryptid stuff. I also have already thought of headquarters and housing ideas for people like jenny who needs a home! I will post up the thread in the plot discussion. But for recruitment, how do you want it to go? We can go by the normal route where jenny's activities catches FTS' attention and they talk to her (mundane talk like her parents, her home and stuff). When it becomes clear just who and what she is, the offer can be made
