This master post will be updated with IC thread links to Phase 3 threads as they are created.
Phase 3 is focused on the planning of the final push for Phoenix Force; trying to figure out how to fight and kill it, if possible, and dealing with the aftermath of the Phase 2 fights.
If your Phase 2 fight has ended, or you know the result, let us know here. Post theories, plan things out, use this thread to set up IC threads, go wild.

First: www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKOlBZJ7IzsSecond, the best bet is probably convincing that thing to go somewhere else. I'm not sure if it's been confirmed, but it looks like it can just hop from host to host. Alternatively, equip the entire population of earth with tinfoil hats.

Ruler might be able to do something with the brainwashed soldiers so that we don't have to kill them. He's capable of simultaneously accessing ten millions of minds, but the Phoenix Force would definitely be able to fight him off. If the Phoenix Force is distracted, he might have a chance...? I'll also need to ask staff permission first to do this 'cause S-ranked stuffs. IF THEY DENY IT, WELP, BYE SOLDIERS.
It would be nice if all the site's psychics team up for this goal. Ruler, VALKYRIE, LA PUCELLE and nemesis (and whoever else I missed ;; sorry) can band together and have some sort of psychic battle against the Phoenix Force in their minds. They can hold hands, joining their powerz, as Ruler links them up. PSYCHICS FOREVER.
Right now, he's in the event thread that is right at PF's headquarters, but the thread's going slowly atm.

or they can make Ruler a Super Saiyan God /shot
I'm still volunteering Julia to power up and then use her Sword of Nemesis against the bird, for good or for ill. Will need people to distract it as she ramps up, though.

now that max has a little more motivation past 'i guess it'd suck if i died' i'm for the psychic team-up? although it may be pretty deeply unpleasant 2 be networked to him what with his newly acquired eldritch superbeing ridealong

Say no more - I've got The Devil's Advocate ready to pull out a gigantic patchwork chicken on fire in the PF's face to confuse him to heck - and maybe peck his face in a few times.

Hello, not part of this plot just yet but I'm hoping to join.
I don't think killing the Phoenix Force is a good idea, given that it is the manifestation of all future and past life. Killing the Phoenix Force would essentially destroy the universe and any hope of future generations of procreation, wouldn't it? Even though Justitia 's sword might be able to cut through cause and effect, it would lead to the devastation of life everywhere. Gonna go with Foxtrot in that the best way is to appeal to it as opposed to attacking it.
Azrael 's ability is able to directly manipulate the soul and can bypass cause-and-effect, including physical invulnerability or intangibility, by manipulating the very existence of that particular thing. If you guys would have me, he could potentially remove its will to fight so long as his body can come into physical contact with the Phoenix. Perhaps Justitia doesn't have to go into a killing blow, and perhaps the psychic powers of nemesis or The Devil's Advocate could potentially allay it long enough for Azrael to transmute the thing.
I imagine though that it'd take an extended amount of time, even with the ability to control time-space within a certain level of limited control, Azrael would still have to process all future and past life into his conscience and render it tame. But I'd think it's completely doable, and the length of time can add to the drama of the thread.
Just a suggestion.

Does anyone ICly know that the Phoenix is life incarnate? If not, someone might want to get onto that, because otherwise no one knows that killing it might end all of life as we know it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Otherwise, what are people going to do about the cult army the Phoenix Force has? Ruler touched on being able to deal with that, but I'm sure that if people attack Phoenix Force wherever it will be located (presumably still holed up in its new kingdom in Texas), it might attack other areas, or try to escape out of Texas?

I'm guessing that a telepath would be able to. Whoever is will have to notify whoever else is in it that killing the Phoenix is not a good idea.

I'm looking forward to The Devil's Advocate's giant chicken! Mmm.
OCly-speaking, I don't actually believe Julia can beat the Phoenix Force with the Sword of Nemesis... maybe just wound it enough to force it to retreat, or something, maybe convince it to take a gentler touch with humanity next time it drops by. (It'll be pretty crappy if she ends up actually killing it though, oops.)
And yes, if it doesn't work, the wounds it takes might be enough for Azrael to do his thing, although much like how I don't think Julia's sword can beat the Phoenix, I'm not quite sure Azrael can transmute something that powerful so easily, either.
I'd think Julia and Azrael's combined efforts might be what could convince the Phoenix into retreating, with a part of it wounded and another transmuted? This is just my opinion, though.
Alternatively, Azrael could tweak it so that killing it wouldn't destroy everything? On the other hand, I don't really know if anyone knows that the Phoenix Force is the source of all life XD
EDIT: I was writing this before Azrael's reply right above so I didn't see his post. I think there's someone here who can see the future... maybe he could inform us of possible consequences of our actions? I think it was... @clark?

wow i am so late to the party
artemis is cool with being the distraction. i plan to have her """"""die""""""" in the confrontation with phoenix anyway, so it works out great. also, i'm thinking apollo would maybe know about phoenix being life incarnate? he said as much in our thread, iirc. and if he doesn't, then he can prophesy his way into this knowledge, i think. there might have been a chance that he might have had this conversation with artemis before they headed off to fight phoenecia?

Apollo being the wise person to tell everyone not to kill PF sounds like it would make total sense. Ruler might be able to get that too if he happen to get a vision of the PF if he makes direct contact with it. Either way, he can mass telepathy and pass on the message.
Wouldn't worry about the army escaping. They're not going to be running away fast enough. Or realize what's going on before they run away. If it attacks other areas, we'll just have to deal with it xD I guess the psychic party can't go there alone. They would need a team to keep the soldiers occupied as well.
NGL anything related to directly interacting with the PF is a dangerous game and every plan to go about it is really flimsy because of how all-powerful it is. First off, anyway, we have to deal with the host before the PF. While the PF can switch to another host, I don't think just anyone can be a host of it. So killing the host might actually just solve our initial problem. We could always just follow the Marvel path and have a host somehow be able to contain the phoenix force ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Ruler is a candidate! /LAUGHS ABOUT IT. Because he's going to invade Earth too in the future...But hey, at least we'll be saved for now!
I can't say I fully understand Azrael's power and how he might affect the PF though, so I can't really comment on that... But yeah, those brainwashed soldiers! You can rely on me on that! Would have to somehow connect that goal from Ruler's current position in the event thread.

VALKYRIE is having her mental shields ripped open in her p2 thread and even if it gets dropped/inactive i'm just gonna pretend it happened anyway, so she can join in the ~psychic power circle~ what a way to get back into the game after 14 years huh.
not sure i want another round of hosts lol. fly away phoenix...fly away.

Morricone knows that giant fire bird is actually life incarnate - he's kind of a nerd when it comes to eldritch and/or supernatural beings, to the point where it's very much his job in the Initiative to explain shit to others. Also, he's had a run-in with the PF in the past, so he's got a FEW little ideas about how to deal with it. It's not PERFECT knowledge, but at least he's somewhat prepared. After all, the whole idea of, well, planning to summon a parody of life incarnate out of spite behind it's lack of care kind of requires a fair bit of prep.

i want in, but, what can elijah do? right now, all i'm thinking is, it is fitting for him to return when the world is once again threatened. spiritually, elijah is very strong, otherwise, i don't know what he can do. he can probably feel or, tell that killing phoenix is a bad idea, though, he won't know why exactly. send him to the sidelines or back to hq if all else fails. \o/
